Bay Area'sTry The Pie announces their stirring second full-length album,A Widening Burst of Forever, today. The band shared the news of their addition toGet Better Records in late March with the release of the track "New Dust." Today, alongside the album announcement, Try The Pie teases the LP with single "Last of You."

In the first single off Try the Pie’s second full-length albumA Widening Burst of Forever, we hear a message of reclamation after a long season of struggle. "Last of You" is a joyful, noisy anthem that harkens back to a youthful summer that feels endlessly expansive, or the moment you move from emotional devastation to clarity. Lyrically, Try the Pie lead singerBean Tupou (they/them) contemplates ideas of gender and embodiment, death and rebirth, and a hard earned sense of belonging. “Heard I was born with confused power, this weighs heavy on my neck,” they sing, “inside a body only half-done, only waiting to forget.”

"Last of You" reminds us that remembering can be healing. We are left with a sense that tranquility and chaos may not be opposing forces but rather two components that make up the whole of us.
